Moving From World of Warcraft to Eve Online
If you have played World of Warcraft for a while, moving to another mmorpgs does not seem to offer anything major in change. They all seem to be based on some fantasy theme, with drawfs, elves and dragons. The classes are all based on three basic types, fighter, caster and healer. The mobs you have to kill always seem to include orcs and dragons.
 Even the space based mmorpgs, such star wars, or anarchy online, do offer a non fantasy based theme, they still share a similar setup in terms of leveling. You gain experience points by killing monsters or npcs, which enable you to level once you acquire a certain number of experience points.
However, Eve Online by an Icelandic company called CCP, goes against this cookie cutter approach. It is a space based mmorpg, where there is no control of character movement on the ground, instead your game time is spent in the confines of a space ship. If you are old enough to remember Elite by David Braben, then think of Elite being online, in a persistent universe.
